MacAddict.com Rumors are better.

-They don't seem to take every thread off the list.

-Their moderators are more easy-going, cool.

-Their moderators are professional.

-Their moderators also allow humour.

walloo.

(read on)

p.s. some of those topics that keep on being closed are actually worth delving into! I get mad at the topics that say: "let's only keep the ones here that are so general that everyone can pud an answer."

I'm not "attacking" an individual, just the site for giving too much power to too many people who don't seem to know how to use their power. It should be apparent that what maybe boring to you may not be to others.

Go over to MacAddict Rumors and see what's up. A locked thread over there means possible illegal actions have taken place. Here, I don't know or respect what they mean.

    That about sums it up, it might help that macaddict is not hardcore when it comes to rumors. BTW, most of the mods there do so in their free time, in fact, I think the web site now is done for little or no money.

    Also those who post on the Macaddict. site also post in the relevant discussion groups.

    Still the website there is less trouble-free(moderator-wise, subject-wise) than this one. Probably because MacAddict figures, hey people have stuff to say, so let them say it.

    Communism or Democracy.

    Communism: let the government fully control the people.

    Democracy: let the people control the government, which in turn controls the people.

    Self check. This site shows more for Communism.

    There is no more relevant thread than this one. I'm aiming it at the moderators of THIS thread and nothing else.

    As a MacAddict member, I do the same. As I am here.

    Um, shouldn't this be under "General Disscussion" and not "Future Hardware?

    Why would people care about a thread talking about a completely different topic.

    NOT  GENERAL DISCUSSION.

    Discussion is based on the 'future hardware' forum, where there are numerous locks: and the problem exists.

    ====CDonG4==> Just trying to bring about a change. Trial may it be, but dictatorship will most likely overwhelm.

    Um, you know, there's a section called "Suggestions", that's the place where you can raise your objections with the moderators.

    Whether I shine light or not is totally off question.

    Is General Discussion really the best place for a Topic concerning Future Hardware.

    Has the light shown away from you. (and yes, that is a period)

    >>New Power Macs: On speed? Who cares?

    >>Macminute ThinkSecret post new PowerMac specs pt.2

    >>24 HOURS: POST NEW RUMORS.

    >>Anyone else Stressing Yet?? ?

    >>\tMOVED: iPad (again), G5 and iRevolutionary

    >>Expectations for the new G4

    >>Interesting mouse picture ::

    Some of these were locked because the moderator "thought" they were dumb. Kinda like saying hey, I "thought" your computer's password was dumb, so I changed it. Where's the freedom there.

    General Discussion or Suggestions would definitely be the places to discuss(!) general(!) topics concerning the boards, such as moderation, or to make suggestions(!) regarding how they are run.

    ..and your saying the moderators from this Topic will go into the other Topics and notice this thread more frequently than if I just had posted it here?

    If you were on my side of table and you see a thread that has just been created and you get into it, only to find it to be locked 5 or 6 times over?

    willywalloo: Is spamming a message board supposed to make people take your suggestions seriously?

    Sending to Suggestions...

    =================================

    Spamming: the act of sending an unnecessary message to another person.

    =================================

    R U trying to say that I was making an unnecessary statement?

    If not, then I don't think you understand the direct meaning of "SPAMMING."

    If SO, HANDS DOWN...MAC ADDICT WINS AND THEREAFTER: THIS RUMOR SITE IS NOW THE RUMMAGE BIN OF ALL RUMOR SITES, in my eye.

    This 'PM a mod' stock response is very annoying in itself.

    I remember when 'Are We Allowed to Ask..?' evaporated when Fellowship was purged for a week, Mika was aiming some pretty wild accusations at me. I was keeping my temper. The thread had wandered. It got locked for being 'off topic' (formerly one of the joys of this board) and for being a 'flame fest'.

    I did not have the opportunity to reply to Mika and I was hardly going to open another thread just so I could define what being British meant to me, or whatever it was I was riled about. Macfenian did it for me; he thought it was worth looking at too. Groverat squashed the thread within one post.

    I PMd Jamie, and cc'd Belle and Jonathon, neither of whom have read my PMs. I wanted to launch a thread in Suggestions becaue it didn't just affect me and the mods, it was about Macfenian, Mika and me. A PM on a PUBLIC forum ain't enough sometimes.

    And stop all this 'you asked for the guidelines anyway' nonsense. We asked for them because all it got so silly.

    And stop all this "if you don't like it you can go somewhere else."

    Because we will. People didn't used to bitch and now they do. So why is that?

    Firstly, I did reply to your PM and as far as I remember you apologised for the tone of the message.

    Secondly, just because UBB says Belle and Jonathan didn't read the message doesn't mean they didn't read the e-mail notification.
