Apple's Southlake store update to include expansion & outdoor improvements
Apple's Southlake Town Square outlet, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, will be both growing and gaining a number of external upgrades after it closes for renovations on March 4.
Exterior improvements will include a custom sidewalk, greenery, and new granite benches, according to a local edition of Community Impact. Apple officials told the paper that the benches are meant to seat the likes of parents and grandparents while people with them shop inside.
An accompanying rendering shows a general store concept, but none of the interior details, despite an all-glass facade. The shop will presumably adopt Apple's current retail aesthetics, such as wooden shelves and oversized video displays.
Construction work should finish by the end of 2018, CI said. Because there aren't plans for a pop-up replacement, shoppers will have to turn to third-party resellers or other DFW Apple stores, such as Knox Street and NorthPark Center.
Other U.S. Apple stores undergoing renovations include ones in Nashville, Tenn. and Lynnwood, Wash.

Otherwise, Grand Ave would be closing to become a pedestrian mall.
