Games section???

I think it would be a good idea if we had a section dedicated to discussing Mac gaming in the forums. Sure we have software, but that is more general and I think if we put a Games section in it would get good traffic, possibly attract members too.

What does everyone else think? Surprised it hasn't been suggested before.

Well, if you're talking about the past 7 days, you might be right.

Let's get an All-Games thread going. I'd like to play something on my TiBook like Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3.

Would it kill UBB to have another forum? Not a rhetorical question, I am not familiar with UBB but it seems like it has lots of "issues"...)

yeah, but what's the point of a forum for 8 threads. trust me, games have never faired well here. always a dead forum. suggestions would get more traffic.

I think we did have a games forum once. We've also had a lot of discussion about this in this very forum over the past six months. Basically, here is how new forum creation works...

If there are enough of a certain kind of thread, then we would consider a new forum for those kinds of threads to take the load off of the forum they are currently in.

If this isn't the case, then we're not going to make a new forum. Plain and simple. The presence of such a forum does not mean it will suddenly generate a lot of traffic.

So for now, Games are software. They have a forum currently. Should an overabundance of games threads show up in Software, we'll build the forum for it. So in short, don't suggest forums that there is no demand for.

lol, we need to have an abundance of games first, and then ones worth talking about.
