Goodbye
Jist a short not to say goodbye.
I’ve been a subscriber for about 5 years now and have enjoyed listening to Neil and Mike and Daniel and their fair and balanced opinions.
Unfortunately, I’ve hit my limit as far as Victor is concerned. He is completely out of touch with technology and how a normal person wants to use their devices. He presents his insane opinions as if they were fact, he talks down to, and belittles Neil and Mike incorrectly and constantly and he is clearly a shill for several companies that don’t formally sponsor AppleInsider. I would strongly suggest some take a look at his finances and see how many companies are paying him directly for speaking favourably about their product.
If you ever decide to do the smart sane thing and get rid of him - please send me an email letting me know and I’ll be happy to return and once again speak favourably about AppleInsider.
I’ve written about him twice before and requested he be controlled - but if anything - things have gotten worse since then and I just can’t take listening to him anymore.
He is clearly educated and an eloquent speaker - but at the same time - he’s a complete idiot about many of the things he covers. There is a lot that he does and says that pisses me off - but nothing angers me more than hearing him “correct” and demean Neil and Mike - who both gave very reasonable, informed and well thought out opinions in most cases. I honestly don’t know why Neil tolerated him - but I will not. I’m out. Adios - and good luck to Neil, Mike and Daniel.

It sounds like you're saying he shouldn't even be allowed to voice his opinion.
Somewhat extreme.
If you’ve never listened to the podcast before - pick any one of them and give it a listen and you will hear multiple examples of what I complained about.
I don’t know what your technical background is, or if you’d be able to spot any or all of the inaccuracies in his statements - but you’ll definitely be able to hear the condescension in his tone.
Maybe I should host the podcast 🤔 ... though I do sound like a frog throwing up a bag of gravel.
I couldn’t stand your exchange any longer and felt it only fair to share my opinion. I’m an independent certified Apple specialist and have been running a successful Mac repair shop of Dallas for over a decade. Stay current, I attend MacTech conferences and listen to various podcast. One favorite is MacPowerUsers podcast because I come away informed and upbeat. The cohesive dialogue between Katie and Dave allows story development and interest. No, they don’t always agree, but that difference of opinion doesn’t come across as condescending.
This tone is glaringly absent from your show.
Listening for the first time today to your podcast, your hosts are not a good match. That is unless I missed something, like a special show gimmick. Maybe your angle is good vs evil. Or crap on all Apple topics?
What I heard was an uncomfortable and quickly predictable rythem. One seemingly informed, intelligent host presents ideas only to be met with immediate condemnation. One puts ‘em up; the other knocks ‘em down.
After the third topic was met with criticism and objection, I was certain your hosts were into sadomasochism. Maybe they enjoy this disagreeable banter, but I don’t. The bad attitude in literally *ever* statement made by the second host was so distracting that I began interjecting comments aloud. So I turned the program off and found my way here.
Guys, either sit down beforehand and figure out some topics upon which you can feign agreement, or maybe sit down and find a different co-host.
But, that all said, reading your comment, it sounds less like you want a news podcast with opinions that vary, and more like you want a cheery one that dovetails with your opinion. We're likely not going to be that given that our backgrounds are so different, so I'm glad you have MPU to listen to.
