So, I talking to this gal in an IRC channel who was worked at Apple, and I asked heer some stuff and she gave me a little info:

1. Return of the internal FireWire port.

2.Replace the Programmers button, more stuff for X on that

3.Make the Apple logo glow when it is asleep/

This is all she told me besides something about more antennas for AirPort, but she was not quite shure on that point. Well, thats it!

Not to sound skeptical, but the proof is in the pudding.

Forget G5s, GF4 Ti and DDR!! This alone would make me buy a new PowerMac

Apple could bolt a big bare aluminum wing on the powerbook just like those import tuner (clown) cars. It would also ship with a big "NO FEAR" decal and colour shifting paint. The HD would be LOUDER and sound like one of those tuner mufflers.

    That would make it faster!

All right, look, just to get this straightened out:

The phrase is "the proof of the pudding is in the tasting".

"Proof" here is in its older meaning of "test", like army proving grounds. (And "the exception that proves the rule".)

So the expression means that you can't know what something will be like until you try it. (Or, here, we'll know if this information is correct when new cases come out.)

The phrase has been shortened over time until it has become meaningless.

Okay, let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater (sorry... always wanted to say that...)

Actually, my CONFIRMED sources say that NO FEAR is out and that the G5 will come with 11 inch decals of Calvin (of funny page fame) urinating on one of those Intel aliens. Sounds about right to me!

Actually, I have it from a good source that putting a huge aluminum wing on a G5 is something like +10 horsepower, I mean, megahertz.

Hey - don't forget the neon tube lighting along the bottom edge and around the CD drive

You see, Nebagakid, if you'd only gotten her drunk like our own Mr. Dawg would have done, you might have learned a great deal.

    Most of it completely insane.

Yeah, and I don't think Apple will let us have our cake and eat it too!

What I'd like to see is a Powermac with a custom "bong" chime upon startup that plays the dixie tune like the General Lee in Dukes of Hazzard. Also, weld the case shut so it's harder to install RAM or PCI cards, that would be cool, huh, huh. And add a fake chrome chain on the front of the Powermac, framing the Superdrive. Then put a "crown" shaped air freshener on it.

Finally, the handles should be oversized, they should protrude out of the side of the Powermac by at least 6".

And the fans must be overdriven and LOUD! Put some glass packs on the fans to get the volume up.

are you forgetting those blue tinted headlights that are so bright they are blinding? How bout 19 gauges built into the box to record various useless functions? And you could ship it with just a subwoofer, but no other speakers to achieve that wonderful "thump, thump" sound characteristic to import tuners

A megahertz saved is a megahertz earned.

It's also been conclusively proven that decals decreases lap times. The bigger the decal, the lower the lap times. I see this on the race track all the time.

I'm sure adding decals on computers will decrease Photoshop filter times as well.

Just to prove the validity of Apple sources, I say we get their employee number, SSN and address (IP or snail mail) when chatting them up. We also promise that his Steveness will never know.
