    @ "...boring update..."

What rock did Dana Wollman crawl out from under? I see why I don't visit that site on a frequent basis.

Good gravy. Didn’t have time to watch video yesterday. She stabs at the Watch like she’s got a scorpion strapped to her wrist. (An experience Apple would successfully sell for a grand.)

Sending someone to this event who has no idea what she is doing.

What a waste.  Next time, send me. I'll do it for free.

Does anyone know if old Apple Watch bands will still fit this new version?
    Yes
    Yes, many of us know.
Oh, you want to know too? Yes, old bands will fit the new watch.

So do the aluminum models still have the Ionix (or whatever it’s called) glass, whereas the stainless steel versions have sapphire?

I ask because I have a Series 2 stainless steel, and the only way to get stainless steel on the Series 3 (and the new Series 4) is to spend $700 and get a GPS + Cellular version. I don’t need the cellular, all I want is stainless and sapphire glass.

And in case anyone asks, I had a Series 0 Apple Watch for nearly two years and the glass had plenty of scratches and chips all over. I’ve had my Apple Watch Series 2 for over a year and and not a single scratch, chip, or mark to speak of, and I don’t baby it.

Based on what I read at apple.com, series 4 stainless steel watch only  comes in GPS + Cellular.  Which is a bummer 'cause I also want the stainless steel watch and don't have need for the cellular part.

But I am surprised about your series 0.  I have been wearing one since the day it came out, and my arm bumps into walls, door, exercise machines all the time.I don't see a single scratch on either the glass or the aluminum casing.

Same question. I’ve only owned the Series 2, but am completely sold on the sapphire crystal after seeing the degradation of the glass faces on friends’ Apple Watches and the durability of mine.

I've had Series 0 glass screen for nearly two years and the face remains near mint despite several times of slamming it into hard objects. I may have just been fortunate; I'm hoping to treat Series 0 better!
