Otterbox Pursuit for XS

Anyone have this case?  Good?  Bad?

I had had the older version of Pursuit on my X but had shoddy design (foam misalign, gap at top where FaceID cameras).

For XS, otterbox redesigned the case. The mute switch is now exposed.  Weird for a case that is dust/dirt proof.

Just trying to get feedback on this expensive case.

Well, i did buy the case.  Very slick design. All the ports are either protected OR sealed around on the inside (to prevent ingress of dirt/dust).  Excellent design all around.  Everything is so precise and custom fit around the iPhone XS.  It does channel the bottom speaker to the front which is kinda nice but does add to the height of the case (see below).

But two negatives. I got the black/clear case.  The back clear hard plastic is very easy to scratch!! Just looking at it wrong makes a scratch! There is a barely-there rim around the back of case so that the clear plastic does not touch table when you lay on its back...but i think Otterbox needs to make a more prominent rim.

Second negative is bulk. It is a big case. Slim, yes. But it is wide and tall. It does take the slick design of the iPhone XS away...and make it into a brick...just a slimmer brick than if you bought the Otterbox Defender case.

It is probably overkill.  But my phone is $1350 (512GB Xs)...and i plan on keeping it a long time...so, i guess that this is OK.

BTW, it is on sale this week i think at Best Buy and on Otterbox site.  Still expensive as hell though.

Just a quick update on this case.  I have been using it since the last post above.  I like it a lot.  Very well designed.  The phone is surrounded by soft rubber at every impact point (face down, back side, and edge drops).   I have taken the case apart twice to check.  No dust bunnies getting in.  The dust do build up at the openings but does not get into the case (which can potentially scratch the phone).

Yesterday, during some rain (not heavy), the case did prevent water from getting into the case.  The speaker membrane did not let droplets get through, which kinda cool.  Of course, this case is NOT waterproof, but at least with light rain or snow, it should be protective.
