iTunes ignoring external drive
There are many threads that address external DVD drives and the inability to use them.
But I haven't heard of this anywhere...
I recently pulled a DVD-ROM CD-RW drive from a broken PC. I was hoping maybe to use it as an extra CD writer.
Audio CDs show up on the desktop and I can open it to see or copy files just fine. If I drop the image over iTunes 3.0.1 though it just ignores it. If I try to add to a playlist from iTunes it doesn't even show the CD as being on the Desktop.
It is an LG 48x24x48x+16x Combo drive GCC-4480B.
I updated the system LG file from xlr8yourmac.com.
Has anyone experienced this that has found a fix?

The jumper is on Cable Select.
Since I put the drive in an external Firewire box, I didn't think it mattered what the jumper was set to.
I will try switching it to Master then Slave and see if there is a difference.
