Safari has some cool features but for me it does not even come close to camino in the speed department, camino seems at least twice as fast on my machine.

    Rock on Camino!!!!!

The latest version seems to have lost the elegant dotted lines that appear around a clicked link. Now we have the Windowsy Camino dots.

just noticed something in .64 that I am happy about. They finally made it so that the cursor disappears when you scroll down a page with the arrow keys. It was really bothering me that the cursor sat in front of the page getting in the way of reading it.

Yeah, but it still stays when you use a scroll wheel.

Ok, maybe I'm losing my mind (for the 53rd time), but I can't get tabs in my v. 64 at all. Not by command clicking a link, not by right clicking on a link for the submenu. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

you need to enable the debug menu to turn them on... of course you also shouldn't be running v.64 in the first place...

look in the old safari thread for instructions...

i was using safari 64 all last week, and I've now switched back to v60, and It is way faster... I don't know if anyone else noticed speed issues with 64... i guess it IS pre release...

Anyone know when the next public update to safari is supposed to be out? I was wondering, because I would love to have these features in safari.

    Thanks

64 seems to be significantly slower for me too, which is painful on a 56k connection. However, I do like these tabs and don't want to give them up. Come on with an update!

v.67 of Safari is out now and the tabs have moved from the debug menus to the prefs and so has autofill. Here is some pics.

    Premiere

    InDesign

    Quark (ehhh)

    Keynote

    Lotus Notes

    Acrobat

    a shedloads of utilities...

So as u can see i'm not into pirating software.

Ok, let's clear up a contradiction you made. You're not into pirating software, but you are actively trying to pirate safari v.64. I mean, if you were supposed to have it, you wouldn't have to ask how to get it. It doesn't matter how much software you legally use; owning one piece of software does not give you the right to illegaly use another piece of software.

Also, everyone in this thread needs to read this: No more asking, hinting, or talking about where/how to obtain any Safari betas that are not released to the public by Apple.

You can discuss it all you want. For all I know, you're doctoring the screenshots. That isn't my concern or my responsibility, because those shots don't go on our server. But talking about distribution is not going to be tolerated. I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread and others like it from now on. I'm serious.

Also, don't go messaging me on AIM or emailing me asking me to send it to you. I don't have it, and I'm a moderator. Come on, people...

    I'm emphasizing this as well.

From here on out, asking for these pirated builds will get you a temporary ban from the forums. Am I being strict? You're damn right I am, but if that's what it takes to keep this discussion clean, so be it.

    Stop talking about piracy...

My understanding is that it's okay to download this because it's an open source project.

No its not okay. The entire thing is not open source. Only the render engine.

Oops Brad beat me to the anti piracy smack down.

Are these items in the latest Safari? These are the major points holding me back from moving to Safari

    1. being able to except/deny cookies on a per domain/site (like in IE)

    2. preference for not underlining links

Those are the required features for me to even look at safari.now the next items I would like

    3. dividers in bookmark menu

    4. Disable security warning for submiiting forms etc.

    5. Double clicking download to open in seperate window with more detailed info.
