So it's okay for you to mind read now? And not remotely accurately at that! But thanks for confirming you double standard about mind reading.
Okay... so can you clarify for all of us “non-mind-readers” out there:
    • Does it annoy you [or not annoy you] when people say you suffer from Stockholm Syndrome?
    • Are you [or are you not] petrified/scared/reluctant/disappointed/[pick any synonym or variant which might be acceptable to you] of having the prototype/pre-release unit[s] you currently have taken away from you [or remote bricked]
If you can classify, then perhaps there’ll be fewer misunderstandings... it certainly appears that you are annoyed when it is suggested people in TREG may be suffering from a type of Stockholm Syndrome...

*Just as a point of clarity, Stockholm Syndrome strictly speaking requires significant stress on the psyche of the “sufferer” i.e. being held as a hostage physically and under threat of harm/death. When deprived of any other stimulus or perspective than that of the captor, the person begins to see the captor as being persecuted or harshly treated (i.e. the restrictions put on the hostage taker) and begins to sympathise. That sympathy is also a defense mechanism; the “sufferer’s” psyche quickly establishes that if it identifies with the captor, they don’t receive punishment.... it’s a bad analogy, but imagine a whipped dog that is extremely loyal to it’s master and even will defend it’s master if they are threatened... it’s more complex than that, but it’s a kind of “Robert’s Rules version”... There are some aspects of Stockholm syndrome which appear to have commonality with the Waytools/TREG relationship, but since no Psychiatric specialist has been able to debrief any TREG participants, it would be premature to state it definitively...
...on the other hand, as a facetious and throw away line (as long as we’re being quite clear no one is being held against their will...), it makes for an amusing tag... I don’t believe anyone is being hurtful in suggesting sympathy with a company with a poor track record of dealing with its paying customers might be suffering a form of alternate-reality syndrome... I simply get the sense they’re venting a frustration with a cheap laugh - not exactly a hanging offence...

I'd prefer people didn't post absolute crap, like accusing people of having Stockholm syndrome. Same for all the crap stuff. But if they are gonna do it, I must say, I like having it as an example to point to!

Clearly I'm not concerned at all about having the TB taken away if I post something negative - because, you know, I've posted plenty of criticisms of WT. I just make sure my criticisms make sense. Easy. Which, of course, shows how the posts that say we are afraid are just crap :)

If they don't do the update, for example, before Saturday (and, yes, it is okay if the update comes very late Friday night to the very early hours of Saturday - like 3:00 AM), then I'll criticize them again. Even if they end up posting ic a few days later, I'll still consider it to be a foolish lapse on their part. Personally, I think it would be smart to get it out in the next couple of days.

True that may be, but sadly when it comes to GR, the space bar does appear to be the final frontier. Captain Kirkton must defeat customer cling ons in his quest to keep Tregblades pure and unblemished by the crass masses - it’s not Vulcan logic, it’s moon logic from orbital space!

You might have thought that over 3 years of missed promises, update fluctuation, endless rationalising over when an update period truly ends or not and surely being disappointed at the continual sameness of each episode that you’d be a little more pissed off than you ever seem to be.

Indeed you only only seem to truly get angry at suggestions you’re a fan of Stockholm, but if you did a bit of Sherlock Holmsing of your own internal thoughts and feelings, you’d have turned Hulk on LiteKnight long ago...

And here, I think there is a wonderful moment for us all to realise we have something in common: I too prefer people didn’t post absolute crap...

...unfortunately, my subjective version of “crap” might well be very different from yours. Whilst I can’t stop you posting what I perceive as “utter crap”, you equally don’t get to visit your subjective ideas of “right and wrong” on to others...

(Quite a libertarian view from me, but there you are... reality bites unfortunately sometimes...)

    1. Getting mad isn't going to help anything. I'll be disappointed, of course.

    2. I don't get angry about the Stockholm accusation either, though I am disappointed that people make such absurd accusations. Meanwhile, if people are going to be doing it, it is nice that I can use it to my advantage.

    Brraap!

A mildly annoying guy once said:

”Would be great if there were no attacks”

Of course he was autocorrected to “we’re” and he never fixed it, but that’s life.

It would probably be better if there were no tax, but tacks are a fact of life (in hardware stores).

Naturally that’s not the same as having tact, nor the same hardware as the type Wait-Tools is building (or doing something with), but if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.

Knowing that sex sells, I nearby pre-announce we’re going to join the concept and pre-state that the pre-order season for the Sext Blade has now begun!

I’m calling the company Great Tools and our new slogan is “Making MultiTouch Keyboards Great Again”.

Seeing as valued customers are gullib... I meant patient enough to wait 5 years for beta testing, Great Tools will be vigorously testing the Sext Blade with volunteers - but we’re only going to accept testers currently residing in the continental US, so Sarah Palin and Hawaiians will have to wait for phase 2.0 first.

If you want to get your hands on a Sext Blade order, send your $98 to GreatTools.com today! I have used my mind-reading skills and know that you want one - or at least a paid order form saying you want one!

Critics will get their money refunded before they even know they wanted a refund, because I am a -great- mind reader, and no true mind reader would ever admit to having faulty mind reading skills!

I promise to be as twitchy and touchy as a faulty multi-touch keycap, too. Screw my competitor, anything they can don’t, I can don’t better! Yes!

Braaaaap! :-P (oops sorry that last one was a burp)

I’m personally offended by boy-bands... can you teach me how to keep my personal vitriol about the subject out of my internet writings...? ;)

(dbk, you definitely type some pretty “angry seeming stuff” whenever the old Stockholm Syndrome gets a mention... I imagine you may retort “I said “I prefer...” and if that’s indeed the case, I personally prefer a world without boy bands... I would find such a world so much less offensive... until thin, you may want to consider that what you see as simply stating a “personal preference” may come across as a bit of the old “angry monster” coming out... ;) and as for “well what about other people... I notice you don’t admonish them when they get angry...” here’s a bone for you; hey other people, don’t get angry when Stockholm Syndrome is mentioned... :))

Oh it doesn't annoy you? My bad. I thought that after so many pointed references to that specific thing over so many years, it often being you first or second complaint about the people you have argued with was significant. But if you are saying that I have misread those emotive responses then I apologise.
You'll excuse TBD for mind reading because "maybe" he had an "unlikely" conversation that there is no claim, let alone evidence, for? Wow.
TBD wasn't mind reading he was engaging in hyperbole, and dispite your continued lack of understanding this hasn't changed. You claimed it was mind reading and that only sticks if it is the only way that information could be gained. For example the "true" motives of someone. You keep tilting at this strawman and you look more and more silly.
Let's see, they stated long ago about having hundreds of Treg testers - most NOT from the forums. So when TBD just assumes it isn't true, without any evidence at all, you not only excuse it, but make it up to WT to "confirm" a conversation that you made up as a possibility! Since it has already been established that TBD just accuses them of lying about everything, obviously it wouldn't matter if they said anything about it now.
But they are massive liars. Frequently and unapologetically. They have lied about me so often that it is absurd, they lie about things there are records for, they lied about when the product would be ready. They sold product on their website with estimated delivery dates they knew they couldn't meet. I think that the possibility that WT might have been misleading about the numbers and nature of testers is fairly real. After just this thread WT lost all rights to the "benefit of the doubt."

They have yadda yadda testers siloed up in yackety schmackety, great then show us. Stick the pics in an update. Make a video of these other testers. Otherwise it is just more words from an unreliable source. Credibility is a funny thing and I guess time will tell fairly soon what an agreement with Mark is actually worth.
    2. I don't get angry about the Stockholm accusation either, though I am disappointed that people make such absurd accusations. Meanwhile, if people are going to be doing it, it is nice that I can use it to my advantage.

Oh it does "disappoint" you... so there is a negative emotional reaction for Stockholm syndrome jibes. An annoyance. Thanks for confirming all your bleating about it means exactly what you conveyed about it over the years. I withdraw my apology.

Like I said, it makes a particularly good example and I don’t see any of the people who have used it ever withdraw it so still worth pointing out.

    > TBD wasn't mind reading he was engaging in hyperbole,

Well, either you are fine with unsupported statements being made that require mind reading as long as you label it “hyperbole”, or you are reading his mind. :)

It's pointless. Unless of course your reasons for posting are just petty points scoring.

That called a false dichotomy. The options you proffer are not the only two options.

    Additionally
    1. unsupported statements - Still does not understand Hyperbole or deliberately making a strawman hard to tell.
    2. require mind reading - falsified already
    3. you label it “hyperbole”, - Demonstrated through use of logic and words that this was the nature of the text. so no need for quotes.
    4. or you are reading his mind. - Nope, reading their words.
Even when you are apparently being glib it's just the same rubbish over and over. I wish you were more interesting to discuss things with but you are getting terribly dull.

What I would really like is WT to answer some questions. The fact that you sit in every public space WT occupy and do ^^this is getting in the way of customers getting their answers. And before you go on one of your "but I help people, i criticise WT" washing machine cycles of nonsense.

correction: I just want to deal with the company that I ordered my Keyboard from. Not waste my time on retired school teachers who have nothing to contribute.

Never petty to nail people who make up crap about those they disagree with. You or others are free to make stuff up or make personal attacks and I am free to point it out. Symmetry!

Probably has something to do with dealing with the same rubbish over and over.

Once again you make it personal. But I’ll contribute anyway, as I see fit.

“Contribute”... you keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means...
(Apologies to the immortal Inigo Montoya...)

I think by “contribute”, you been “bloody-minded argument to the ends of the earth...”

...although I could be wrong: all evidence to the contrary... ;)

Now or how on earth will this get:
    a) A TextBlade in my hand in a reasonable timeframe
    b) A reasonable and timely dialogue with the vendor of the aforementioned “Text Blade”
    or
    c) The death penalty instituted for boy bands...?

(I really only learned to love JT when he went solo after NSYNC: that and his Jimmy Fallon bro-mance... I’m only human after all, not a monster...!)

Yup... re-read my own post (the boy-band stuff was pretty funny...) and my post stands: you keep using that word, but I don’t think it means what you think it means...

...Rolanbek’s use If the word is entirely an issue for him and one I’ll certainly take up with him if I feel he misunderstands it... I have means of contacting via a new wiz-bang sort of “electronic mailbox system” him should the need ever arise...

(yeah... that was cheap picking on a typo... I shouldn’t-a-done that... but I got a bit excited about an opportunity for a cheap giggle - we all do typos and if anyone were to go and pick all mine out, we’d be here from now till when this newfangled TextBlade device I’ve heard about gets released for goodness sake...!  ;))

*Edited an ironic typo... seriously...! :D

    Children, children, order please.

I know you are all getting getting bored as Wait-Tools_Support is busy preparing the (hopefully) useful technical update.

But the back and forth with DBK bring tears to my eyes. It is painful indeed. Mind reading, Stockholmm
Syndrome, accusations of making crappy comments, arguments, counter arguments, counter-counter-counter arguments.....oh God, please make it stop.

While we wait for Wait-Tools_Support to communicate anything tangible after 1200 posts, I would much rather ask @alexonline to expand a little bit on the features of the Sext Blade. Hope it does not cut anything off.

We need Treg testers to volunteer to use Sext Blade in compromising positions to see just what happens when it is in use, although its multitouch features in this regard could prove quite popular.

I expect this will possibly extend Treg testing somewhat as volunteers may not be as brave as they would be were Sext Blade a GR product.

We are bound to find some errors in the limpware to firmware process, and it is bugs we hope to cut, not features or anything else.

Anyway the orders have started and there are already some brave Treggers-to-be who clearly want to be on the cutting edge of technology, and, quite literally, are willing to bravely put their kahunas on the line for the cause of the greater good.

I expect to have an update on very initial early progress by the end of May, and no later than 2019-06-21.

    Cheers

    GreatTools_Support
