Exactly that.

Seems like the originator of a thread cannot correct/alter the title like possible on UBB?

you can't. I noticed it when I tried, but I thought 'doesn't matter'

    anyways.

actually, there is a pseudo-method to do it

if you're still in the same session (not possible days later) and if your cache is still full...

you can post a thread... and in the same window, surf wherever or post whatever... then if you decide to change the thread title, you can just use the back button to return to the original post in your history (in the same browser window)

(this also works to edit posts be "reworking the original" rather than actually using the edit function)

in effect you are re-posting the original... vB will show another thread

note: this corrected thread will count as a "New thread" with a fresh title

mods may not like this method because of the number of duplicate threads that may require closing if you can't get the delete thread to function

or you could PM the mods/admins to change it for you.

Behold the wisdom of the Admin Honcho. Simple and effective solution.

2nd only to choosing an appropriate thread title in the first place.
