I looked through my settings and seems all is in place... is it normal that when looking through messages that most cose is just code and doesnt render?

but i'd be content if everybody had clickable thumbs limited to 100x100,
and it might serve the bandwidth dilemna of the dialup diet
additionally,
at one i point i (erroneously in hindsight) linked from somethingawful,
who jonathan suggested "have messed with their servers to deter hotlinking by substituting extremely distasteful images instead of the pic you thought". he added that he ought to warn people in advance not to hotlink from them.
so is there a larger list of "don't link from these sites" that would help?
some guidelines might serve to save you folks some cleanup,
and come sekrit_motherboard time, might save some legal wrangles
