Apple isn't quite done with beta testing in September, and has provided a fourth developer beta version of iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 alongside the 11th beta of tvOS 13.

The new builds can be acquired from the Apple Beta Software Program website by those enrolled into the program, as well as through an over-the-air update on devices already using beta software. The public beta usually arrives shortly after Apple issues developer builds, via the Apple Developer Center.

Beta 11 of tvOS 13 is build number 17J5584a, incremented from 17J5579a in build ten. The fourth iOS 13.1 build is number 17A5844a, replacing third build 17A5837a.

Apple supplied the last developer betas of iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 just ahead of its iPhone 11 launch event. At the same time, the gold master version of iOS 13 was provided to developers for a final shakedown, ahead of its release alongside iPadOS on September 19.

Full releases of the updates to iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 are expected on September 30.

As with developer betas, AppleInsider, and Apple itself, strongly suggest users avoid installing betas on to "mission-critical" or primary devices, due to the small possibility for data loss or other problems. It is instead recommended to install betas onto secondary or non-essential devices, and to ensure there are backups of important data available in the event things go awry.

Update: Public betas of the latest operating system versions are also available.

So...if I’m running 13.1 beta, will I be offered 13.0 final on Sep 19 or 13.1 final on Sep 30?

I'm thinking the latter, in the end you're running a newer (beta) version than the final release (13.0).

I've not had a chance to look yet, but did Apple add the 13.1 beta for the new 11's?  I just saw Steve Mark Gurman noted that the new 11's are not listed as beta platform options - at least not with this current build.  Crossing fingers that they'll add the new devices to the beta list on Friday.  I want to get my new Pro Max on the new beta on Friday, so I can transfer everything from my X right away.

Has anyone heard about whether Apple is delaying the Announce Messages using Siri feature? It was in a couple earlier iOS 13 betas, but they removed it shortly after and I haven’t heard anything about it since.

Beta 4 looks like a tiny update to me, it only took 2 seconds to download it. Must be the polishing touches.

This isn’t an iOS 13 issue, but after installing 12.4 I suddenly had a whole bunch of apps quit working - they’d just crash right away on startup and I had to delete and reinstall them. I’m assuming a preference file got corrupted or something like that. Has anyone else seen this?

It should be in 13.1 if memory serves.
