Apple Michigan Avenue to host sessions celebrating Chicago architecture

Chicagoans interested in architecture can head to Apple Michigan Avenue to celebrate the Chicago Architecture Biennial with new Today at Apple sessions.

Participants will be able to go on a several of different photo walks through Chicago. One session will focus composition of architectural photography-- Apple Creatives will assist participants in taking pictures with lighting, perspective, and texture in mind.

Another will focus on the overlooked architecture of Chicago's South Side. The 1.5 mile walk will help participants capture mood through lighting and angles, and will be hosted by photographer Lee Bey.

The Chicago Architecture Biennial is an organization dedicated to opening discussions about architecture and urbanism through public programs and exhibits. Every two years, The Biennial creates new opportunities for emerging talent in areas of architecture, design, and the arts to engage with the public.

    It was a great city but now it's crime infested and has some of the highest taxes in the nation. Architecture wise, not much comes close.

    But crime is down, and when you factor in per capita, Chicago is relatively safe.

    But go ahead with your fear-mongering disinformation campaign.

    I recently visited Chicago after 20+ year absence.  I found the city very clean, no trash in the street gutters.  But the stores have to charge you a nickel for a paper bag if you need anything 'bagged'.
    I was never approached or bothered by any prostitutes.  Everyone I met there was warm and friendly.
    It has really grown a lot , both building wise and people wise.
    I plan to visit again next spring.
