CompUSA is nuts

I was at CompUSA this morning, out of curiosity I glanced at the video card case to see if the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (for PC) was released yet, sitting there was a simple box with an Apple logo on it with a price under the box of $429.

Figuring that it must finally be the Mac version ATI 9700 Pro I asked the clerk to see it, when he handed it to me it said Nvidia Geforce 4Ti, Mac version!

I couldn't believe it, $429! are they nuts?

um mac gfx cards have always been

overpriced.... like the rest of their hardware

this was the one major turn off for me when i

was looking at macs (i do use & own a powerbook)

the hardware is pretty std pci/agp bus etc etc

so theres no real reason for gfx cards to be so

    overpriced....my geforce 3 ti200 oon my win2k

box cost me 140$ & i bought it new when they

    first came out

Well, at the CompUSA near me they were selling the Apple Pro Mouse for $69!!!

At Apple.com they're $59 and at the Apple store it's the same thing.
