Jackson will star as Ptolemy Grey, a 91-year-old man suffering from dementia. Ptolemy is given a chance to recover his memories briefly and chooses to use what time he has left to solve his nephew's death.

According to Variety, Moseley is adapting the book for the screen. Both he and Jackson will executive produce the series, along with David Levine and Eli Selden of Anonymous Content and Diane Houslin. Apple Studios will produce the series.

Mosley has authored dozens of books, with some being adapted to television and film, including the neo-noir mystery thriller "Devil in a Blue Dress" and the FX crime drama "Snowfall."

The series marks the second Apple TV+ production Jackson has starred in. He previously starred in the feature-length film, "The Banker," in which he played an African American entrepreneurs working to overcome the racial limitations of the 1960s.

I think Samuel L Jackson has died in 31 movies. This will probably make 32. But I think he's still at least 10 behind Christopher Lee, John Hurt, Vincent Price, and maybe others.

Walter Mosley has been in beast mode writing for TV, and now movie scripts. I'd love him to try writing screenplays for his Easy Rawlings series. A big disappointment after there were no additions after "Devil in a Blue Dress" so many years ago.
