Clickbait book with "F you" from Tim Cook on same day as Musk tweets this. Gee, I'm sure the timing is coincidental.
Maybe Musk could have thrown in that Apple should donate all proceeds to DogeCoin.

Give Musk credit for this, he plays the media game masterfully.

Yet another company or government backs up Epic’s stance.

However, on forums.appleinsider.com: “booh, Apple is right!”  :D

But hypocritical coming from someone who made a fortune with PayPal.
Without taxes, there wouldn't have been government loans that helped Tesla and SpaceX to establish themselves, and make Musk rich.

No money from government contracts to send his rockets into space, or subsidize his satellite broadband service.

Nor would there be free roads and bridges that Tesla owners utilize, but don't pay gas taxes to support.

Oh, and no DARPA, no IP, and no internet.

Of course, taxes are bad, and Musk, like his billionaire peers do as much as they can to pay as little as they can.

See?  He's on your side, fighting for you, against the evil corporations like Apple!  Just like Tm Sweeney.

How stupid. Does he really want to go down that road?  The EV tax credits Tesla buyers receive are subsidies from the working class for the well-to-do.

Even more hypocritical when you consider that much of the money Tesla makes is from government subsidies. He loves receiving taxpayer subsidies but dodges taxes himself.

The statement is demonstrably false, given competitive pressure has forced Apple to offer better deals to some developers. Lower rates on content, lower rates for small business, no rates for transaction outside the storefront.

Paypal was the first major effort into FinTech which is revolutionizing the financial industry.   That's what Musk does.

Musk taking pot shots at Apple is reminiscent of Jobs taking pot shots at IBM.

Both were revolutionaries who lacked respect for the establishment (which is what Apple has become -- the new IBM).
I think they would have had great respect for each other.

EV tax credits are buying a future for the country and for the world.
Investing in the future is a smart thing.  But less educated people and ideologues can't understand it -- or don't want to understand it.

Musk's main competitor in space said it well when he returned to earth:
"When you look at the planet, there are no borders," Bezos said. "It’s one planet, and we share it and it's fragile."

He added that the journey reinforced his commitment to solving climate change, saying that investing in space technologies could help future generations.

"We have to build a road to space so that our kids and their kids can build a future," Bezos said. "We live on this beautiful planet. You can’t imagine how thin the atmosphere is when you see it from space."

In particular, he stressed the need for reusable rockets for space launches and added that polluting industries could be moved to space in order to preserve the environment on Earth."

Musk has been. an Apple antagonist for a while now. Nothing new or relevant at all here.

    Headline should read:

"Apple critic criticizes Apple yet again. Next"

Atleast Apple don't charge for updating OS. Tesla charges software upgrades. Moreover, Elon have manipulated Bitcoin prices for his(Tesla) benefits by tweeting one way to push lower and buy it. Than, tweet again other way to push the price higher and sell. This is how Tesla made over billion$ in bitcoin. Who is hypocrite ?

Except they’re not even in the same industry (yet), or perhaps musk is scared of the thought of potential competition with billions of dollars behind it?

Yes, he buys into companies that have been in business for years and feeds them money so that the actual talent can get the job done. Musk is neither the brains nor the logic behind the success of any of “his” companies. His “vision” stops at the signature line of a blank check. If he is to be commended for that, then Warren Buffet should be your god.

I didn’t hear you deny Tesla (and musk) didn’t profit from the tax credits. How altruistic to profit off the future of the country and the world. Totally for the greater good.

You could say the same about Steve Jobs...
...  Even Edison didn't invent most of his inventions.  He hired people to do that for him.

The great ones -- like Musk and Jobs are 75% visionary and, at most, 25% inventor.  Tesla was 100% inventor and transformed the world.  But he died broke and without any legacy.  Even Jobs wasn't all that great till after his hiatus and he returned with a different perspective and appreciation for his "A Players" as well as much improved business acumen.

    So?  What's wrong with profit?
I entered nursing so I could pay my bills while helping people.  There's nothing wrong with that.  Every physician does the same.

And in reference to ibm.  They currently HOLD the record for the LARGEST deployment of apple products in the company.  Imagine that.  How times has change.  Apple went from being a little shrub in the ground, to being the tallest tree in the forrest.    Some of you might remember......

Perhaps Musk is getting senile at his age?  I lost tracks of the number of articles complaining about Tesla's heavy-handed approach to how it essentially rips-off consumers with licensing Tesla features and killing features when a car is sold in the used market.

Maybe Musk should be forced to allow other companies to provide "features" to its cars outside of what Tesla provides.  Why should Tesla be the only way to install additional functionality?  I think other companies could provide features at much lower prices!  Cuz... "Competition" right?

Musk is losing a lot of respect in my book.  He should just stick to making cars and rockets instead of telling other companies how to make their products.
I guess Tesla should have to license the use of a “wheel”… makes sense.  They didn’t invent the wheel 😂.
