Apple releases macOS Big Sur 11.5.2 to the public
Apple has released macOS Big Sur 11.5.2 with bug fixes.
The new macOS update will automatically download and install for users who have that option enabled. Users can also navigate to System Preferences to initiate the update manually.
Like the macOS 11.5.1 update in July, this update has arrived without a beta period for testing. Apple only lists bug fixes in the update description.
At this time, it is unclear exactly what the new build offers, outside a maintenance and compatibility release. Given that macOS 11.5.1 was a maintenance release, and that macOS Monterey is currently being beta-tested, it seems unlikely that there will be major changes in the build.

And yes, you can scan directly into Preview from the menu, choose File > Import from Scanner > [scanner]

Are you all so starved for attention and somewhere to spew your grievances that you have to politico-bomb every friggin Apple Insider article with the same old BS no matter how innocuous or unrelated the article is?
No. Don’t do it.
AppleInsider provides plenty of opportunities for venting non technical grievances. Most of those articles have social relevance and at least a thin Apple connection. But an OS update thread? No.
There’s a time and a place for the kind of dialogue that’s at the forefront of so many people’s attention these days. Ideally the place is somewhere else, like Reddit, but sometimes Apple Insider does provide the appropriate forum for Apple relevant social matters. This isn’t one of those.
Normal people are not stressed out by this benign use of AI, so pedophiles try to make them panic by conflating various subjects under this heading. We are seeing one of these exaggerations in action here.
issues is a router setting called ‘airtime fairness’ - on my Asus router it’s under the wireless tab, and disabling it fixed it all ( and has fixed a Sonos network issue for others ), so give that a try.
I usually use the image capture app also.
