sony continues to improve its airboard line. when the first model came out originally i wanted one. i still want one.

their latest model has a base station that you plug in yr video dec, dvd player, broad band access for internet, etc. and move anywhere within range of the wifi signal.

this would be perfect for where the direction apple is headed.

they have made the screen 12.1 inches now.

Okay-- so I can't read it. Still, it rocks (probably). This reminds me of one of those nebulous Apple rumors over a year ago, about an iPad/e****/ad nauseum with Bluehair and AirTooth and whatever other buzzwords were popular at the time.

So when is this Sony coming to the States?

this could have a lot of potential, but i think in similar terms to what apple said about the mp3 player market pre-ipod... that the market needs someone to do it "right." maybe hi-definition tv's could serve as massive monitors in the future, with picture-in-picture display to show you channels while you worked.

aw hell, i don't know. the creative juices have really dried up along with the rumor mill. we haven't heard a single thing since late-december.
