Hi, I hope some of you can help me out a bit.
I want a 27" (or so) monitor for daily work (text based mostly, but some photography too) and I like to watch films (in 4K and preferably in HDR/Dolby Vision). Do I really need to get a tv and a computer monitor or can I do this with just one screen? My study is but small so ideally I want one screen, not two. The XDR screen seems great but very expensive and even quite old now. The new Studio Display doesn't support Dolby Vision/HDR (but can show it apparently??). Anything I should look at outside of apple? what are my best setup options?  Thanks a bunch.

(PS don't care about webcam and speakers of the new studio display)

If you don't care about camera/speakers you can go with a Dell 4K HDR capable monitor. Generally going for around $400.

You can go to any site (like BestBuy) and search for monitor and they let you filter down specific features (4K & HDR).

Something like LG 27UP600 comes up

similar to you, i am looking for a monitor to use with a mac mini for office-like work, video calls, and streaming services.  no way i need the $1500 Apple model.  But am looking at the new Samsung M8 https://www.samsung.com/levant/monitors/high-resolution/smart-m8-32-inch-uhd-4k-ls32bm801umxzn/

maybe folks who weigh in on your request can guide me too....
