Sounds like a proactive move to secure supply before China invades Taiwan.
China will not invade Taiwan.
China may attempt to invade Taiwan, but that attempt will go far less well than Ruzzia is doing in Ukraine. China is no less corrupt, and Taiwan has a very competent military and defense assurances from the US. Any attempted invasion would be very, very stupid on China's part, and the biggest result would be the loss of hundreds of thousands of PLA soldiers.
That would depend on the method of attack. China can force Taiwan to surrender in the same way America forced the surrender of Japan. And it wouldn't take two. One will do the trick. And the world will issue a strong condemnation and do nothing.
Then China will have its Ukraine. Not only will it become the new Nazi Germany, but those government you say will do nothing will most likely have new leaders in a few years and will gladly right that wrong. Don’t get used to the current status quo. It won’t last.
I wonder if apple will freeze form factors for a while, with most innovations happening at the level of silicon and software. Maybe that will make it easier to make the move?
Apple already does that. We’ve had the same Mac mini, MacBook, and iMac enclosures forever.
The Mac Studio is newish and won’t change form factors likely for as long as it exists. The new baby iMac is just a couple years old and likely won’t change for years to come. The new MacBook pros and MacBook Air won’t change for a long time in accord with history. The Mac Pro will have a new industrial design and then keep it for a while.
So of course they’ll “freeze” form factors since they just redesigned everything except the forthcoming large iMac and Mac Pro so far. The only form factor that won’t be locked in place for so many years is iPhone.

They are not Fascist, they are Communist. Fascism is Right-Wing and Communism is Left Wing. The two are polar opposites.
In nearly every respect they are identical.
No not really. The Taliban are an example of a far-right fascist regime which has a very different belief structure from Communism. But what extremism any any form always shares is totalitarianism, which is why they appear to be similar until you dig down into the core tenants of each ideology.

A history professor explained it to me like this years ago. Way back the king sat in the middle and his advisors were on both sides, conservatives on the right and liberal thinkers on the left. The more extreme the advisers were, the further to the right and left they sat. The thing was, it was a round room so the most extreme of each were mixed together on the far side. He finished by saying that, “The extreme right and extreme left of the political spectrum may carry different signs, but they are indistinguishable in rhetoric, and behaviour.” Russia - Fascist, China - Communist, these labels really don’t mean anything any more. The labels are really irrelevant. They are both engaged in committing similar atrocities. That’s what’s important.
Spot on. There’s little difference between the far-left and far-right, they are both highly authoritarian and repressive by nature. They may espouse different ideologies but the practical effects are the same.
(You can see this with anti-vaxxer extremists. The far-right see the vaccines as a plot by ‘big government’ and the left see the vaccines as a plot by ‘big pharma’, but the practical impact is the same.)

Oh give us a break. You’re taking semantics and definitions. In practical application terms fascism and communism are identical in how they are implemented. Both oppress the people and both are run by dictatorships. Both suppress freedom and human rights. Both look good on papers written by intellectuals and the first thing both do when they achieve power is to execute the intellectuals that made them look good on paper when those intellectuals realize what they really are. Why do you think so many American intellectuals were mesmerized by Soviet communism? Just read history.
