Advertisers on AI

Guys, I'm sure you enjoy the money or whatever, but there is one ad that pops up and moves around my screen. Would you mind kicking it out of the rotation? It's the one with "$" and something to do with "DO you want free money" or some such nonsense. A banner is one thing but when it spans evil floating nonsense I quickly leave your site. (anybody else kinda irked by that ad and it's intrusive nature?)

Long and short, if you HAVE the choice, please don't renew that ad, I for one HATE it.

They have a point there. I sure would like to, but first, I'll have to shut my bitch up.

well, today I also had such banners which move across the screen.. but AI can't do anything against them, AFAIK. Right?

    OmniWeb? Slow for AI... :sniff:

yes I believe that macnn or "the new administration" gets the revenue and there is nothing the mods can do about it...

OmniWeb 4.5 Sneaky Peek 10 with WebCore(?) is pretty good, much faster then 4.2. Although it is still buggy, at least things like banner ad blocking and spell check work as they should.

People still use browsers that don't have pop-up blocking? What is this? 1999?

Seriously, though, I'm afraid we don't have any control over the ad content. All I can suggest is using a better web browser that gives you control over these types of things (like OW for it's god-like banner blockage or Safari or Camino for basic pop-up blocking).

Yes, that schizo one that jumps manically about on the screen... it almost sent me into fits once... and unfortunately I'm a hardened Safari user which doesn't have ad blocking ... yet? Unless someone can show me some sneaky hack around this?

    Not the same as ad-blocking.

For an example, look at how well OmniWeb removes ads:
