    G4 was announced at Seybold.

Jobs always keynotes WWDC. Sometimes there is a hardware announcement and sometimes not. There has been everything from no announcement at all to a new display to updated Powerbooks. It's completely up in the air if you ask me.

yeah so? What do you expect them to say:

Jobs will discuss the next update to OSX code named Jaguar as well as release updated Powerbooks and iBooks so please do not buy an iBook or Powerbook for the next three weeks, what we want is a large backlog of product sitting on shelves.

The interesting thing is that they announced he will be previewing 10.2. Once again they have chosen to take a preemptive strike at rumors. The forums were just beginning to rumble about Jaguar actually shipping at WWDC. This is a new mode for Apple, and they are handling it artfully. Look at how they deflated the G5 at Tokyo rumors.
