Haven't heard anything about this film until now. Seems a little bit early, but eh...

EDIT: Rotten Tomatoes' take

There was that Spike Lee movie that used 9/11 as a sub-plot, part of the background:

If I remember correctly, I think this is based on a play. I think Christine Baranski was in it. I'm almost certain of both of those things, especially the first one. If it wasn't Baranski, it was another prominent MILF (heck, maybe even Weaver herself?).

I figured 9/11 would eventually work its way into movies and all.

Yes, it was a play that was first produced in NYC about a month after 9/11, and Christine baranski was in one of the productions.

Is it me or does it seem like there is no plot.

You're sort of right -- there really isn't a clear plot, but I think the implied plot that runs through it is Weaver's character's struggle to get the stories out of the firefighters (it's based on a true story of a female author who interviewed these guys for a book).

I watch that LaPaglia guy every week on "Without A Trace". He's pretty good. And I've always liked Sigourney Weaver (meowww...). This might be a nice movie to see.

Although, if they play "Danny Boy" on bagpipes at any part in it, I'll lose it and bawl like a baby right there in the multiplex.

New Yorkers seemed to really like the play and didn't think it was exploitive or anything, so I have no problem with this movie.

IMDB also lists "Stairwell" as an indie film that occurs within the WTC on 9/11.

    Doesn't Third Watch rate ?

I was moved to tears when I saw how they dealt with the shock of losing so many and special people...and the ongoing trauma..of it all....I'd've given them all Oscars or whatever the awards are for TV's equivilant for their treatment of 9/11

Tell me about it. It's my life's work.

Give me a sexy 43-year-old over a bubbleheaded 24-year-old "Joe Millionaire" reject ANY day.
