At least in the Apple Store app, the length of coverage for AppleCare+ wasn't stated. $499 for 1 year or 2 years? We all seem to assume 2 years, but that's not necessarily the case unless in writing.
It said $499 coverage was for 12 months - it was on the page describing the details, in fine print.
So did Apple seriously screw up estimating how many orders there would be, or is this a Apple Marketing department scheme to hype up people into ordering before it even gets in the hands of the public and word gets out about it.
O, if you’re willing to pick them up, then you can get them on 2/3.
Makes sense to build in small lots at first. If some unforeseen problem pops up, then there will be fewer units to repair or replace.
While VR and AR are interesting, think I'll wait to make sure most of the bugs have been worked out (and maybe Apple offers a Vision Pro SE at a lower price). Software may be a bit sparse for a few years.
Prefer to be a main stream or maybe a late adopter. Bought my first iPod in 2008, first Mac in 2013, also late on adopting iPhone. Didn't stop using a text-only terminal until after 2000, and was familiar with paper tape and punched cards longer than most (using them at times until the mid-1980s).

It’s been well reported that they had limited supply of the micro OLED displays and Sony didn’t want to increase production. There are more suppliers coming online, but it might take a couple years.

Will be interesting to see what comes next.
PS: Remember when people were complaining about a mandatory half-hour "sales pitch" a couple weeks ago?
