I must say that I was very impressed but the mac section. They had every model.

17" iMac was pumping out tunes w/ visuals and an iPod hooked up.

23" w/ dual 1.42 was playing the Reloaded trailer

20" w/ dual 1.2 was playing spider man movie

17" powerbook was playing reloaded trailer

15" powerbook was playing some game demo

12" powerbook was playing a general apple demo thing

12" iBook was playing same as 12" powerbook

14" iBook was playing monsters inc. trailer

eMac had another trailer playing but I can't remember which

it was by far the loudest section of the store and was drawing the most attention- they also had a ton of software and stuff around

this was the first time I was in a CompUSA and was actually impressed with the apple store within a store!

Ya, that's awesome. 'bout time indeed. I'm glad they had all of the software there, too, to get rid of the urban legend of "Macs have no software." YEESH!

They just re-did the Mac section in my local CompUSA. They moved it to where the PC laptops used to be. They also replaced the floor machines(or repaired them, at least).

One thing that got me though, they are still selling OSX 10.1! For $110!

Probably because of that one Mac geek working in the store...

I went to COMPUSA (Bellevue, WA) 30mins before they closed too...just to check the Mac section and any iTrip.

The Mac section has been improved.. (haven't been their more than 4-5 months).

Well... walked out without purchase.. coz they don't carry the iTrip.

    actually- I have no idea.

Maybe because I can't wait for the matrix reloaded- it was on the 23" so how could I resist watching it a few times!

20" spider man- wassn't the wide screen version so I was annoyed!

other stuff- I don't know! Maybe I was just in awe at how cool the whole mac section was!

Still not as goood as an apple store though!
