Hey, stop making literally every discussion excessively political. This isn't a political forum. Yes, this post is about the EU DMA. But you're going way overboard being insulting and promoting your political beliefs. It is way beyond the scope of discussion. If we have to have this discussion again, it may result in a ban. Get it under control.

Exchange emails or something. Don't have your political discourse here. This is your only warning.

I wasn’t. I was responding to the fact that we have someone who actually cares about helping American companies now.

I get it. You don’t like Donald trump. You’ve made that clear over the years.

But someone can’t even be happy or extol the virtues of an American administration? It’s all be directly relevant.

And I hope if you’re going to treat me this way, thst you are at the least doing the exact same to those who are deriding the result, with dictator comments and coming down hard on people like me.

Hopefully you are going to be equal and not just doing this to those you disagree with

I deleted the whole thread didn't I? Look. It isn't about who I wanted to be president. It's your tone and how you drive the subject towards being about how great your man is and how everyone else is dumb for doubting so. Even the political topics that are posted here about Apple somehow get turned into discussions about economic policy. Stop. It's not relevant. The same would be true even if Harris won and was calling everyone a fool.

It's not hard. Just talk about the topic. Yes, Trump will likely bite back at the EU. Saying so is fine. But going on and on about it like you're giving a speech about the american dream is not only exhausting, it creates more conflict. Just keep it in check.

If Apple withdrew all sales from the EU, I would immediately go out and spend $5000 on Apple products.

If Trump put a 100% tariff on all European-made vehicles in response to this nonsense, I would rejoice.

In the end, Europe could simply price Apple out of their market. Apple is a for profit company. If the fines exceed Apple’s profits in Europe, why do business there?
Fine with me. Once Apple leaves the EU cartel, the people will start screaming or simply find a way to get Apple products outside of the EU. Use a VPN to download software and treat your devices as being in the US.
Well, @rob53, apparently Apple seems to care enough about markets outside of the US (since apparently those markets are profitable, and Apple MAKES money...), so they should comply with non-US laws.
They're wealthy enough to be able to afford to ensure compliance in both markets OR challenge the laws. If Apple wanted to leave those markets to competitors like Samsung, Huawei, etc. they would do so. But they don't.

Why don't you cry my a river??

Ya the Trump Administration is not going to allow the EU to bully American companies anymore. Thst nonsense is going to stop
What a stupid, gung-ho, nationalist and irrelevant comment.... You should be banned from commenting on a tech / appleinsider forum.

Take your gripe to "X" and "TruthSocial", and cry your big river over there.

Apple won’t withdraw from the EU. The only thing that will happen is that Apple will put a fork in the road the products in the EU will be different software and hardware wise in comparison to the Apple products that are outside the EU, if you look at Apples products up until now they have been able to make relatively the same product across the world. In reality most products are sold across the world are different across different regions. Very rarely do you get to make the exact same product in every country/region of the world.

As far the automobile makers and regulators are concerned ,they came up with common sense solutions, in the electronic world however that hasn’t happened the regulators across the world at this time don’t appear to apply common sense and that’s in the United States or in the EU.
