I don’t think anyone that’s seen space black at a heavily trafficked Apple Store would choose that colour.  Gross!

    +1 - Plenty happy w/Space Gray.

Check out the iPad Pro w/the nano textured display next time you're in the store. That screen is a hot mess and they cannot clean it.

Re: the lack of WiFi 7, does anyone know if that's somewhat baked in with the M4? The iPP with M4 doesn't have it, right? They may be limited by the CPU design.

Thought WiFi was a separate chip from SoC, with Broadcom and or Skyworks being suppliers for chips, drivers and antennas.

Then like the cellular modem rumors, the rumor is that Apple will have their own WiFi/Bluetooth chips in 2025 or 2026. So, there will be a market timing issue if they go thru with their own WiFi chips.

The cost difference between 14" and 16" is $300 regardless of trim line (M4 Pro or M4 Max) at each comparative level. That $300 gives me a larger screen that I can see better and longer run times that required a bigger charger. Our international travel is down to perhaps one more trip to the UK next year to visit my wife's family. So the weight is a non-issue.

"But but but Apple doesn't innovate anymore! The CEO is a businessman!"

lol. People who say that overlook all of the hard work and improvements that goes into building the best in class personal computing devices out there. It's like they believe these devices pop out of a clamshell, fully formed. Or that, somehow, iterative development, isn't innovative. (Please see the first televisions then today's, and tell me iterative doesn't work). Ah well!
I’m sincerely curious, in what ways does Apple need to innovate on their pro laptop line? Those looking for a redesign, for what purpose?

I can see where Apple could and should innovate for the MacPro line. They should be fusing two of the M4 Ultra chips together, then fusing two of those chips together to create one of the world’s fastest desktops. Will they do that? No. But they should.
To many people innovation is throwing everything out every 3 to 5 years and starting over from scratch, long slow iteration isn’t considered good enough yet software OS design and hardware chip design it is really the only way forward.
