Has anybody else found that if you click once on the cover art that a bigger view of the cover art (I think 320 by 320) pops up on the screen? Pretty cool!
Here's another hidden feature: you aren't limited to one cover image. If you get info on a single song, you'll see a tab for "Artwork" and it shows an image well where a bunch of images can be displayed, say, all the album art and not just the cover.
I discovered this accidentally when I was dragging CD covers for my old songs from the Amazon pages onto the artwork pane under the source list. I accidentally dragged a small image into the well, and then tried to drag the big image on top of it when I realized my mistake. I just assumed it might save over the old cover. Instead, two small arrows appeared to either side of the "Now Playing" header, allowing me to scroll among the (two in this case) images. So then I did a quick command-i on the song and discovered the tab. The tab has a slider to display the images at different sizes, a la iPhoto, and there's a lot more room for more images in there.
anyone know of a way to remove cover art after it's been added?
I found out more by chance than anything, though it's probably in Help. All you do is hit command and i. Click the 'artwork tab and it allows you to click on each piece of art and delete it.
If you drag on the bar with the little dimple to the right... it'll scale the cover art larger. The only thing I don't like is that when iTunes goes to the next song, it doesn't highlight it so the cover art is still of the last song highlighted.....
has anybody figured out where the cover art is stored at? I've heard its added to the id3 tag but that doesn't make sense to add the extra file size of an image to an mp3 or AAC.
the photos are stored in the id tags. the file size of the song actually gets bigger.....
This seems kind of crappy, although nice for preserving album art across computers. Now, of course, our iPods will be loaded with cover art that's just taking up space. Viewable album covers on color iPods, anyone?

if i have the album selected when i browse i can't do it, where i can for individual songs -- its a pai having to drag it across for each song...

Select all the songs and then drag the graphic to the well.

Do a "get info" on the track. One of the tabs is artwork; therein you can select and delete images attached to the file.
So much work... so utterly useless...
Apple needs to have a system where it automatically gets album covers.
Also, do I need to add the artwork to every song in the same album separately?
