New renders of what the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max could look like have been shared by a serial leaker, complete with a slightly repositioned Apple logo.

As the introduction of Apple's next generation of iPhone models draws closer, renders and physical models surface at a faster rate. On Sunday, a new render showed off what to expect from the iPhone 17's Pro models.

The image, shared by Majin Bu, depicts the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max in transparent cases. The design follows the currently expected refresh for the rear, including a camera bump spanning almost the entire width of the smartphone.

Though wider, that bump still retains the trio of camera sensors on the far left side as usual. However, the LiDAR and flash are moved over to the right-hand side.

The image also shows what could be a shift of MagSafe, with its ring of magnets seemingly a little lower on the body than usual. This was rumored about by Bu on July 2, with the shift intended to ensure MagSafe accessories still connect properly without being interfered with by the new larger camera bump.

Logo shift

A secondary reason was claimed at the time to be ensuring the Apple logo is in the middle of the magnet ring. However, on June 28, Bu posted that the logo would be repositioned down to the center of the bottom portion below the camera bar.

The new render seems to side with the idea of centralizing the logo to the space below the camera bump, not to the MagSafe rings. The renders show the Apple logo as being positioned at the base of the main circular section, rather in the middle of the circle.

Majin Bu has a very poor track record when it comes to leaks. Their social account often shares images sourced from Chinese social media with little extra commentary, or generates a leak with what seems like an educated guess.

It is unclear if this is a Bu-generated render or something picked up from elsewhere online.

There's no guarantee about the MagSafe or logo changes, especially when it's largely based on Bu's own reporting. However, the weight of other rumors and leaks about the models makes the render seem mostly plausible.

Rumor Score: Possible

It’s the same old iPhone year in &  year out; a little tweak here & there. It’s boring!

I really don’t care about the cosmetics. What’s important is the tech on the inside.

Sorry but the new Apple logo placement looks horrible. They should have left it in the objective middle of the device. And yes, on a $1000 device, it does matter.

Congratulations on learning what mature product categories are like. When was the last time you heard somebody getting pumped about their John Deer or the latest Black & Decker?

These tools exist for a job to be done, not to provide personal excitement or alleviate the doldrums of your life.
