That is definitely most welcome! I have many Apple devices and would love cost effective Apple Care to cover all my devices.

Well I verified with T-Mobile about canceling their protection plans. T-Mobile was charging me $18 for iPhone 15 Pro Max, $18 for iPad mini (A17 Pro) and $16 for Apple Watch Series X). AppleCare One covers all three for $19.99 and that includes loss and theft coverage.

By switching to AppleCare One, I’ll save over $380/year while keeping the same level of protection — and even getting better support directly from Apple with fixed deductibles.

So no trouble canceling the T-movie protection plans? I'm already paying T-mobile $33/month just to cover my wife's and daughter's phones. AppleCare One would cover theirs plus mine (currently not covered) for less money per month.

I have a watch, phone and pad, so does my wife. Is it better to have a separate One plan for each of us, or pay for three add-ons to one overall account? We normally let our initial plans for our desktop Macs lapse when they expire since devices that don’t travel are much less likely to require insurance. Plus iMacs and Minis have proven to be rock solid in our experience.
The one big drawback of AppleCare One is it is per Apple Account. You can't combine yours and your spouses devices, for example.
    Unfortunate.

Does the four year limit only apply to devices added to this plan, or do devices "age out" at 4 years?  If the latter, it sounds like Apple hopes to keep people updating devices instead of keeping old ones for an extended period of time, like I have with my iPhone 11 and Watch 7.

This service was likely created to simplify customer service and make their experience more flexible. It not only provides protection against accidental damage and defects but also offers additional benefits, such as 24/7 support and priority repair.

Is Apple One coverage until canceled like other plans that Apple has?

Considering Apple is not gonna lose money...

(cause they got all figured out on a spreadsheet)

Apple finally figured out to get new users

    to contribute their maintenance costs,

    which makes them more profit!

    $20/month or $240/year?

I’ll take my chances.   Wait!  I always have.  In 25 years of owning Apple products across probably 20-25 or more devices, AppleCare would have only “paid off” to have ONCE.

My advice (not advice): Save your money in a special account and just be “self-insured” for your devices.  The odds are in your favor.  How often are the odds in your favor?

I have currently a few devices that have paid Apple Care+ through 2026 and 2027. I think I am going to wait for those to expire before switching to Apple Care One.
