It will be up all night. Let me know if you're listening (I'll be up for a little while longer, at least - torifile at mac dot com is my screen name change the "at" to "@" and "dot" to ".")
got you shetline...very consistent list you have there...haven't listened to laurie anderson in a while...had fun at her concert sometime in the early 80's....lots of female artists...good for you...i would assume you are about my age, plus or minus 5 years....
I will never tire of this. Just connected to Paul's library, hit shuffle and went from Dylan's Hurricane to Dead Kennedy's California Uber Alles. Who needs the radio any more? Side note: Anyone having any luck with Konfabulator's RendezWho widget? I get the crazy spinning wheel almost all the time.
I have a cable connection and all I get when I connect to 1 of your streams is a connecting to server playlist on the left side of iTunes but it disappears after 1 second
sorry to cut you off paul.....i will be back on tonight around 7 mountain time....yes, that is my iChat name...you are welcome to stream my tunes, IM me if you want me to leave the computer on longer because you are in the middle of listening to something...i just don't like leaving the computer awake all night because the screen keeps powering up every minute or two when iTunes is streaming....maybe i just need a black background...also the fan runs all night then...not that it is loud on my iMac FP, but i kinda don't like it working all the time...maybe i should get an Xserve just to stream tunes?
i will keep adding cds every night i can....i look at my itunes and think, damn i have to clean that mess up....oh well...
g
ps...i will take suggestions on things to add...i may not have it, but i have tons of cd's i haven't encoded to my iTunes yet and you just might get lucky...

My age would be 40 if that helps your perspective.
I'm not sure why it turns out this way, but I find a lot more intelligent, thoughtful, soulful, and poetic lyrics and singing coming from female singer/songwriters than male, although there are obviously plenty of exceptions.
Then again, maybe liking the music of so many women is just a simple matter of sex appeal.
I only saw Laurie Anderson in concert once, that was in the 90s for me. Great show, not just the music and the visuals, but the way she creates a cozy rapport with the audience.
