Disabling iPhoto auto import

When I plug in my digital camera (Canon powershot S200) iPhoho automatically starts up and gets read yto import.



How can I turn this feature off?



Since I take lots of pictures I don't want to fill up iPhoto to the point that it slowa down so I'm putting my images in folders and then picking only some pictures to put in iPhoto.



If any professional photographers have other methods of doing something like this I'd like to hear them...

    open "image capture". go to "preferences". change settings.
