Well, actually I could name it just fine. The problem is my girlfriend won't let me name it Slash because it's a girl, meaning my ideas of naming it Woz and BlueTooth are also out. She wants to name the cat Josie for Josie and the pussycats, I told her that that would be fine, if I were 8. Right now I'm wanting to name it Princess Zelda, but she doesn't like that either. It's almost all black, the paws are white and there's also a little white under it's neck. Can anybody think of a good name for a little black girl cat?

Thanks, but I'm trying to stay away from the usual 'cute' names. I really want it to have a name that when I tell people they giggle or roll their eyes, but not weird enough so that they really think it's dumb, that'd just be mean to the little thing.

I have two cats, one male and one female. The female is named Artemis after the Greek goddess of the forest (or as I like to put it, the goddess of the hunt). She's an outdoor cat (when I let her) and would be a great mouser (if I let her). The male is names Ares after the Greek god of war, which is appropriate because he always likes to start territorial battles with Artemis.

A little girl black cat? Sure: Beyonce

Or you could get really cute and call it iCat.

    Or Jaguar. Or Keynote.

    I vote for iCat.

    Meow different.

You should name it Shirley. Perhaps Margaret. Ooh! I've got it.

    Diane.

Of course, I have a cat named David, and had one named Richard when I was younger. I tend to give my pets people names.

Thanks for the suggestions, I kinda like iCat, but the girlfriend is going to hit me when I suggest it. I was thinking about Panther, but that's a no-go because the house it's coming from already has a cat named Panther, and it's not all... uh.. there, so I don't wanna take my chances with cursing the poor thing. Sorry for not having a picture of the cat, but I am going over to the house where it is tonight, and talking my computer, so I can probably get a picture with my digital and post it. The name it has right now is Midnight, but it's a bit too obvious a choice for my tastes and it's still very young. My ideal plan was to get a boy and a girl, so I could name them Guns and Roses. Oh the excitement of having a cat named Guns... oh well. I'm off to tell my girlfriend that I vote for iCat, thanks pscates. Probably have a picture up later.
