Firewire Target Disk Mode And CCC

Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but I searched and I didn't find a post that matched my very basic question.

I have a new Powerbook and my original one. I want to clone the original drive to the new drive, using CCC.



1. Which 'book do I put into target mode?

2. Which should be the "source" and which should be "target"?



I ask this because I am very afraid of losing my data. Thanks all in advance.

    I think it really doesn't matter which you put into target mode, but if it were me, I'd put the new one (where the files have to be copied to) in T-mode and run the CCC app on the old one.

    I figured it out. And boy oh boy, does it work. My new Powerbook is set up exactly like my old Powerbook. Great app. Now I must open everything and test it just in case.
