Well, *I* would certainly be interested in a home server.
Why? I have three people in my house sharing a DSL connection, 6 active computers in the house - 3 PC's running Windows (98/XP/XP), a Mac (G3) runnnig OS X, and 2 PC's running Linux (a firewall and a file server) - and a home audio MP3 player (Turtle Beach Audiotron). I certainly could see myself replacing the firewall and file server with a nice Apple Home Server, if such a beast existed. It wouldn't even have to do much beyond what a current MacOS X box can currently do. File sharing (NFS/SMB), firewall services, NAT. Basic stuff.
Of course, some sexy Apple design wouldn't hurt...
I'm definitely thinking of something "appliance" like. Good looking, quiet. Unobtrusive. Something that looks good on a bookshelf or entertainment rack.

Maybe someday...
