Mac Floppy Drive in a PC?

If I take out a 1.44 MB floppy drive from a beige G3 Mac, and put it in a PC running Win 2K, will it work?

Does a Mac floppy drive work on a PC? Is there something propratary about Mac floppy drive decices? Seems to me all the Mac-specific floppy stuff occurs in the OS and software and not hardware, right?

brain fart... nevermind you are talking about a floppy drive, not disk...

AFAIK as long as the drive will work with generic floppy drivers it should work...

No it won't work. Mac floppies got their power through the ribbon cable, while PCs have a 4 pin mini Molex connector for power.
