Right now I think it just looks a lot like the OS X version because it is sooo early in development. I am sure that it will look a little more Quicktime-like on the Windows side. Hell, you don't have any menu options, and those need to be incorporated at some point. Just give it a little time.
it may be the real thing but i don't think so, for eugene's reasoning plus i would think that the final product (to be consistant with other windows programs) will have the three window control buttons on the right side
and if its alpha i definatly think it woul be harder to make the buttons on the left side then have them on the right as is window's default i believe
for ur info it`s an emulation of iTunes by a programer called Mr.Aqua from aqua-soft.com and it`s called iPlay. It has nothing to do with Apple. Sorry for ruining ur hopes. But i hv it on my PC for almost a month now and it`s definatly not WinTunes
There's nothing on aqua-soft.com. Just some guy squatting on the domain. A quick search for "iplay itunes" on google reveals nothing related to iTunes.exe, except this URL (a French rumor site reporting the same thing):
With the advertisement of the nearest availability of the iTunes Music Blind under Windows, the rumours of a bearing of the software iTunes went good train, consolidated then by research by APPLE of developers seems it affected with this task. Blow on blow, these last days we received a capture of screen and an application entitled " iTunes for Windows". The exe file of the latter weighs 460 KB and is carried out indeed without problem under Windows XP. The program reads the MP3 but is not with the obviousness not complete. It comprises any bar of menus indeed, no option of particular parameter setting, does not propose visual effects. All indicates a version "alpha", term which besides characterizes the file that we received (who contains the inevitable file readme in addition). As for knowing if it is well the preliminary result of work of APPLE, nothing is indeed less sure. One can well rather think that it is an imposture, realized undoubtedly well. One can all the more easily it think if one visits TheRealDuckie.com which proposes a skin " iTunes " to equip a reader MP3, Quintessential Player . In short, iTunes inspires.
This is not a skin. It's a real app. Somebody wrote and compiled this.
i haven't tried using it, but it does look pretty similarly to real iTunes. It won't really do for me until they get daap with internet sharing abilities. i aint about ready to transfer my whole library over to my work pc.
it won't let you edit yet and whatnot...basically just a mp3 player with iTunes skin...apple will do much better very quickly, but it is cool that some gell-headed kid threw this together for shits and giggles and that it actually (kinda) works...i might use it once in a while at work just so i sit and stare and wish i was back at home on my mac (it is playing some AFI for me right now...i will like it if it keeps me from using either realplayer or mediaplayer at work)....
Yeah, I have this. I thought somebody proved like a month ago that this was just a very good winamp skin??? I dunno, I think y'all are debating something that's been closed for quite a while now. It has been around for a LONG time (way before people posted it around here) now.
