ThinkSecret mention a new product codenamed Q6 which runs a build train of OS X called 'Blackrider'...

Does anyone know anything about it?

My guesses:

Video Player

    Interesting.

I cannot guess what it might be, but I can tell you what I want: an answering machine with Caller-ID functionality and AddressBook integration. Although it should be a software solution.

I was also wondering what this "Q6" means.

    Really it could be anything.

I'm still waiting for a subnotebook.

Wll as for me, i'd like:

A handheld tablet that has a ROM based OS X version thats lets me configure it's ethernet airport and bluetooth and has a menu where I can set up mu;ltiple connections to my servers and desktop over Apple Remore Desktop (and maybe MS RDC clients too) and do my admin wirelessly as I move around the building.

THAT would both rock my world and make my life more bearable.

Oh, and I was in my local applecenter this morning, putting my 12" PB in for repair (grrrrr) and they told me and showed me on there system that the Desktop G4's are all discontinued, not EOL'd but discontinued...I asked what this meant and the guy said it means that the G4 PowerMac will not be sold anymore, no more updates thats it. They have the same status on the order system as clamshell iBooks, game over!

We traded some jokes about WWDC and he said just wait and see....He seemed pretty confident that they were going to be called G5's too.

Well, I went with a gut feeling and checked for the gadgets that 'Q' supplied James Bond in the the '6'th film (On Her Majesty's Secret Service)....and here are the possibilities:

    1) Safe Cracker and Photocopier

    2) Virus Omega Atomizer

    3) Compact Mirror Radio Reciever

    4) Miniature Camera

    Hmmm.......

Maybe a mini tivo device on which you can save television/dvd/music and view it on the move. Perhaps fitting in with the previous rumour of a device with an 8" LCD screen?
