What is the minimum DPI one should use when scanning photos for use in iPhoto and iMovie?

    Minimum? 72dpi is the minimum. They would look fine in iMovie so long as they're at least the same size as the iMovie window (720 x 480 pixels I think), and make for rather poor prints unless you have a realy expensive pplotter (in which case, they'll look great ). For a decent print, start at 150 dpi, but 300 dpi is best for most consumer printers I think.
