Well, looks like the link is still giving the Beta 2 version, and not the GM

Using 1.0 now... text is formatted better, i.e. text is more visible and readable on my 12" powerbook

edit: never mind, it just came with a different setting in its default font and font size

I still have two sites (among others) that it won't properly run and which camino does fine. I get the feeling that there is something funky with my configuration.

    The two sites are

    http://www.shockwave.com/sw/content/collapse

and hit the 'play game' button and then the 'Start' under the traditional game. The game may load once out of 10 times but otherwise seems to time out.

    and

    http://www.hmc.edu/muddvision/mall.html

Where the cam images never load.

I did load Java 1.4.1 a while back.

First, can anyone confirm that these two pages do/don't work?

Second, if they work for someone else can anyone think of what might be misconfigured in my system?

    Thanks,

    It looks slower to me.

Other than that, I see no major differences.

It has corrected number of bugs since v80. I'm actually impressed. It's still Beta really but at least one of my regulars that made me switch to IE occasionally now works

    What browser isn't "beta"?

I can tell you that a Java 1.4.1 update is on it's way and it will fix some issues with Java applets.

Hm, try opening the old version and resetting Safari. Try tossing Safari's preference file and any cache files too.

Still doesn't download images from cache (this one really pisses me off).

Still can't view or copy the URL of files in the download window.

    Still can't reload server-side failures.

Still can't selectively reload failed images in a page.

Still doesn't send referring URL when downloading.

Seems not a single major problem was fixed. What the heck is the difference between this and v.80?

It's gone GM. That's the difference. It's not a beta anymore. I'm loving it.

I'm not sure those were considered to be major problems. Major problema re things like "it does not load Apple.com or Macromedia.com." All else is icing. Look how long it's taken to get all this neat stuff in our other Apple iApps.

Apart from that the download from cache thing is what gives me the grrs

It should support pipelining like Moz browsers do.

edit: adding a bright spinning "e" to the upper right would be great! It would reassure still-recovering PC users.

I'm trying to send bug reports, and when I press "submit" I dont see any outgoing traffic whatsoever on my network monitor. I always include send source, and sometimes the screenshot option...
