When I try to watch the stream of the live coverage of WWDC Quicktime connects but after 3 seconds I get the spinning beachball and that's it! Any suggestions? Help?

Are you hooked up via a router? What's the configuration? What versin of X are you running? Do you have Quicktime 6.3? Have you mucked around with the firewall in X? Can you stream other stuff from the Quicktime site?
I just checked and it didn't seem to be working. Was the message file not found? They might have stopped the replay for some reason. Check again tommorrow.
But really, check to make sure it works well before the event!
