Maybe the G4 specs are telling us that the next Powermacs will be G4s!

    he said:

"Some of you may have noticed on the net...this funny thing that happened on our Web site..." "I am here today to tell you that it was a mistake, but it's true."

The new webmaster is a bit gun shy. He's off in the back digging specs of the Power Mac 7200 right now, in case Steve looks in his direction.

Wow! Those who write the conspiracy theories are some seriously mentally disturbed people. (Those who believe them are worse).

    Back on topic,

If it was an accident it was Apples own fault. If they didn't want it on-line before hand they shouldn't have delivered the updated pages.

if the first webmaster had made this mistake, they'd still be working.

wrong specs posted ... old G4 (safe) = dumb, but employed

wrong specs posted ... new G5 (secret) = pink slip and painkillers

perhaps crossed links explain the first error (proven why now), therefore 2nd blamed on inherited error.

Even if the new webmaster is a bit gunshy and errs on the side of caution, the overriding message of that episode for the Apple Store should have been TEST and DEBUG before upload.

look for another new job posting from AppleStore Web for "Quality Control"
