Patent - April 2, 2002
Just wanted to pass along a very interesting patent that Jonathan Ive and Apple got as of April 2 of this year with the title:
Rotatable door lock with integrated security feature
The first paragraph on the page is very confusing, but if you go about half-way down the page, where the detailed information is, it has some very interesting possibilities for a future enclosure, somewhat like I mentioned here.
Of particular interest is the line:
"In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, a housing having a lockable door panel includes a housing having a first opening and a second opening therein, the second opening being spaced from the first opening, the second opening being defined by a wall having a first end and including a generally circular central portion..."
Anyway, could be totally unrelated, but it is strange, in any event.
