I have a flat panel iMac with a built in Mic and it seems to work fine for audio and video chats in iChat but in iMovie if i try to record voice...it records but the sound it plays back is crackled and messed up....?????
Is the volume set too high in Imovie possibly? Do you have any special settings you want to keep or can you delete the Imovie preferences out of the library folders?

I am at a loss, I think the internal Mic is broken and I have to send it in for a fix...luckily its under warranty.
