or in short:

"THE MOTHERBOARD DIVISION of Via launched its P4PB Pro product today, a board which supports the Pentium 4 and includes the P4X 333 north bridge and the VT8235 south bridge.

Via said the board supports both 400MHz and 533MHz front side buses, DDR 333 memory, has integrated USB 2.0/1.1, Firewire II connectivity, 10/100 Ethernet, and a smart card connector."

but... i search the site of via and found nothing on FW2 <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

i think the inquirer are smoking too much

They can't make the difference between 2 firewire ports and FW2...

Tell us, genius, where do you think it's going to wind up, hrmm?

Provided of course, that it is indeed the next iteration of firewire, and not a mistake (e.g. one article that indirectly quoted Jobs as saying that darwin was based on 3BSD )
