In OS9 you could highlight a jpg - then get info on it - and it woudl tell you the URl that it came from...

In OSX how do I do this - it doesnt show this info - just other stuff like permissions and comments etc

So in otherwords - how can I find the URL that I downloaded the jpg from - as I have forgotten and would like to find the site again..but didnt bookmark the site

Thanks

Julian

AFAIK, it's impossible. The problem is that the original URL in comments doesn't appear automagically in OS 9; only some browsers like IE and downloaders like Interarchy put it there. If the application you downloaded the picture with did not save the URL in comments, you won't retrieve it from the picture.

If you are lucky (you got the jpg recently), you may still find its page in the browser history.

How about running google image search with the jpg's title? Worth a shot, especially if it's a unique filename.
