Why they don't play nice to each other?! Everytime when I am going to the site which has a real video emmbed into the web page I then will get the MIME error

Camino doesn't have this problem at all

Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

I refuse to have Realplayer on my Mac because of the fine print in their license. I don't want to use any software from a vendor that says it can invade my computer anytime it wants to download new versions, or whatever else...

You can always bug the sites that only have Real or (horrors) Windows Media Player options to add Quicktime.

Believe it or not, OmniWeb 4.5 has actually gotten soem embedded RealPlayer content to work for me before. I don't have any sites on hand to test the it with, though. Could you post some links to sites that have embedded content?

News.com's video streams give you the choice of embedded Real streams, no?

Actually, embedded Real content plays fine in both Safari AND OmniWeb 4.5.

Leonis: try News.com and see if feeds there work. I suspect that whatever you are trying to access has incorrect MIME settings on the server it's hosted from and that Safari is just more sensitive to files having the correct types.

How come Real is still in business? QT and even WiMP look better, and they have companies backing them.

It works. Great....at least I know it isn't Safari's problem.

The site that I keep having problem is CMT.com. Atomfilms.com used to be problematic but now it's fine.

Unless the embedded Real content uses LiveConnect which hardly any Mac browser supports.

Yeah, Real Player works fine for me on Safari. I'm using version 9.
