G5 Powermac

I have just received my G5 powermac, through work because I am a graphic designer for time warner. I like the look of it, however in panther when I try to delete my data, the panther os comes up with an error saying " The data can not be deleted" thats it why is that. Any suggestions. Also I have and alpha release of iWords and documents the word processor is very fast but the intergration with Microsoft word isn't that good because the pictures inserted are nowhere to be seen, can anyone help?
