What happened to the iBox?

in General Discussion edited January 2014
It looked like a cool, capable machine for its price. I havent seen any developments of it as of late though.

My father needs to have his Performa 6116 replaced, and this would be a great replacement

Apple pulled the yank on their MoBo supplier, citing their agreement that they can't resell or something of that nature. As far as I understand, they are filling all previous orders, but not taking any new ones until something else opens up.

I really wish they could have gotten it to work. I mean, who doesn't dream of a $600 headless G4.

Of course, I wonder how things will change with the PowerMac G5 being so much more powerful than the G4.

Sigh. I knew something like this would happen.

I imagine that motherboard deal (from OWC?) wouldnt supply too many, but enough to suffice. Now for them to operate they'll need to find needles in haystacks
